Wow, it’s that time already! Time to start another hockey season? I actually feel like we didn’t get much of a break! The season ended, then it was clinic after clinic to get ready for tryouts, some of you did Spring League, tryouts (let’s not talk about that stress and drama), and let’s throw a little roller hockey in there, a tournament here, a week long camp, or another tournament there....
Oh and it’s time to train, because the season is getting ready to start again…
Can’t get out of shape! Dryland training... ice time… Does this sound familiar? It’s the life we live as hockey mommy’s! Would I change it? No… Would I complain about it? Yes! LOL Don’t get me wrong, I love my husband and my two precious boys, but my life is constantly crazy! I mean CRA CRA!!
Our vision here at Hockey Mommy is to empower hockey Moms throughout the world, by helping moms enjoy a happy healthy hockey family, by loving our kids, and keeping you crazy warm.
I will have a weekly blog throughout the season(God help me), the theme is built on life hacks, tips, and tricks to help reduce your crazy and keep you warm in the process, so we can focus on enjoying our family, and celebrate and appreciate our wonderful family. So the blogs will focus on nutrition, food, and how to better prepare your hockey life so that it doesn’t send you into a tizzy!
Feeling overwhelmed over the games, practices, food prep, equipment and travel before the season starts is not a good thing, so I hope my blog will help give you some ammo to reduce your stress. We can better love our families because that is what it is all about, right? We only have a few short years with these kids of ours, let’s make good memories together!

Here is a family meal to get us all started for this crazy hockey schedule! It is a crockpot meal because we are all busy, it’s BBQ, because we are from the south (but transplanted from the north), and it’s easy because we need easy!

Get some buns, gluten free if you are a gluten free family, pair it with coleslaw, baked beans, green beans or collard greens if you are southern! Easy meal, double the recipe if you have big growing hockey players!
Have a great week everyone!
